Mosquitoes kill 725,000 people a year according to the World Health Organisation — more than any other animal on the planet. They carry malaria, dengue, Ross River virus, Zika, West Nile virus and more. Why Mozzies Are So Hard to Control

Mosquitoes breed in minimal water — a blocked gutter, a plant saucer, a puddle in a pot. A single female lays up to 1,000 eggs at a time and most mosquitoes live within a 100–150 metre radius of where they breed. Once established near your home, the population compounds rapidly.
