Keep the Lure Strong. Keep the Mozzies Coming In.

Your Heavy Duty Outdoor Mozzie Trap or Super Indoor Mozzie Trap works by emitting UV light at a precise frequency that mozzies simply cannot resist — but that globe has a lifespan. Once it starts to fade, so does your trap's ability to attract and eliminate. This genuine 7W UV fluorescent replacement globe restores your trap to full luring power.

Why Replace Your Globe?

UV output degrades over time — often invisibly. Your globe may still glow, but if it's past its useful life, it's emitting significantly less of the precise UV frequency that draws mozzies in, as the glass clouds over time. A fresh globe means your trap is back to operating at the attraction level it was designed for, not a diminished version of it. With 3,000+ hours of useable life per globe, a timely replacement is all it takes to stay ahead of mozzie season.

Replacement globe only — trap sold separately. Compatible with Two Traps — Suits both the latest generation EnviroBug Heavy Duty Outdoor Mozzie Trap and the Super Indoor Mosquito Killer Dry Trap.

Key Features

Compatible with Two Traps — Suits both the latest generation EnviroBug Heavy Duty Outdoor Mozzie Trap and the Super Indoor Mosquito Killer Dry Trap. One globe, two applications.
Back to Full Attraction Power — Genuine 7W UV fluorescent globe matched to your trap's exact specifications. Restores the precise blue-light frequency mozzies can't resist.
3,000+ Hours of Useable Life — Long-life globe keeps your trap performing across multiple seasons before the next replacement is needed.
Compatible with Two Traps — Suits both the latest generation EnviroBug Heavy Duty Outdoor Mozzie Trap and the Super Indoor Mosquito Killer Dry Trap. One globe, two applications.
Activates the TiO₂ CO₂ System — The UV output reacts with the trap's Titanium Dioxide collar to produce small amounts of CO₂ — mimicking human breath and supercharging mozzie attraction.
Swap in Minutes — no trades, no fuss. Simple DIY replacement keeps your trap operational with minimal downtime.

When to Replace Your Globe

The UV light appears noticeably dimmer than when first installed
Mozzie catch rates have dropped despite regular use and correct placement
You're heading into peak mozzie season and want full confidence in your trap's performance
The globe has been running continuously for an extended season

Tip: Replace your globe at the start of spring — before mozzie activity peaks — so your trap is drawing at full strength when you need it most.

How to Replace Your Globe

Switch off and unplug the trap completely before starting
Remove the protective cover from the globe housing
Carefully twist the old globe approximately 90 degrees and pull it free
Insert the new globe and twist back 90 degrees until secure
Replace the cover, plug back in and confirm the UV light is active

Done in under two minutes.

FAQs

How do I know when my globe needs replacing?

If your trap's UV light appears dimmer than usual, or if you've noticed a drop in mozzie catch rates despite correct placement, the globe is likely past its peak output. UV fluorescent globes degrade gradually — the light may still be visible, but the precise UV frequency that attracts mozzies diminishes over time. Replace proactively rather than reactively.

Which traps is this globe compatible with?

This globe suits the latest generation EnviroBug Heavy Duty Outdoor Mozzie Trap and the Super Indoor Mosquito Killer Dry Trap. If you're unsure whether your model is compatible, email our team and we'll confirm before you order.

How long does each globe last?

Each globe delivers 3,000+ hours of useable UV output under normal operating conditions — enough for multiple seasons of regular use before replacement is needed.

Why does the globe matter so much?

The UV globe does two jobs in your trap: it emits the blue-light frequency that lures mozzies in, and it activates the Titanium Dioxide collar inside the trap to produce small amounts of CO₂ — mimicking human breath for an even stronger attraction effect. A degraded globe means both functions are compromised.

Is it difficult to replace?

Not at all — it's a straightforward DIY swap that takes under two minutes. No trades required. Always switch off and unplug the trap before replacing the globe

Bulb works great

Recently bought a replacement bulb for my heavy duty outdoor mozzie trap.
Was a little tricky to get the old bulb out but just needed a few more weetbix to pull a little harder.
Love the trap as it catches other moths etc and the chooks love eating them.

My Envirobug Heavy Duty Outdoor Mozzie Mosquito Trap is 'doing the job'!

My trap has operated almost continuously and effectively since I bought it 18 months ago. It traps the mosquitos but also does a great job with the moths that terrorise the plants in my garden.
I have just bought my first replacement lamp - I bought 2 and even with the shipping to Perth, the price was reasonable and they arrived within a few days!!

The product works

The lamp I bought or my insect trap works great, but these lamps a far too expensive to keep replacing. They need to be about five dollar as they fail quite often.

This little beauty freed me from insect bites

This little beauty has given me the freedom to be outdoors without being bitten everyday. After a week I’ve not been bitten once

I have moved this around to find the best location

I have moved this around to find the best location. To begin with, it attracted too many moths and not many moquitoes. Now I have it hanging in a dark and sheltered corner under the house. Immeidately it began stacking mozzies - 100's in a night. It is amazing to see so many dead mozzies!

90% reduction in 2 days

Our garage was always full of mozzie and the wife hated trying to shoo them away from the car to get in every morning. I can happily say that after hanging the mozzie trap, that we have reduced the amount in the garage by 90% in 2 days. My only complaint would be that when taking the base off to empty it, any live mozzie inside it, just simply fly away. Maybe a gel filled insert that would kill them.

Hi Shaun, we're thrilled to hear about the quick results! We're glad the trap is working well for your garage. Cheers, EnviroBug

Finally something that works for my partner the mosquito magnet

My partner is a mosquito magnet - the minute he walks into a room, a mosquito will appear. We first tested the trap outdoors and were amazed at how many bugs it trapped. The next night we put it in the lounge room and caught two mosquitos - and importantly my partner did not get bit. Until now we have had to give him breaks while watching tv so he could track down mosquitos to kill, this contraption does it for him.
