Never Try To Catch A Snake In Your Home Or Garden

June 04, 2018

It could be fatal. Play it safe and call in an expert Snake Handler!

Sadly last month a Queensland man died after catching a brown snake in his home. Worried that it might attack his pets, the man caught the eastern brown snake and carried it outside, telling his neighbor that he’d been bitten. Within minutes the man collapsed and could not be resuscitated.

Between 2000 and 2016 thirty-five people have died from snake bite in Australia, twenty-three of these from brown snake bites.  Many of these people were bitten when trying to catch or kill a snake. Naturally, snakes feel threatened when cornered and will bite. Even non-venomous snakes can cause a painful injury this way and venomous ones can cause serious illness or death. Don’t take the chance - it is far safer to call in an expert snake handler who can remove the snake for you.
